Mission Events

Guided by our Mission Committee, the Parish is working on clarifying and strengthening its sense of purpose and mission in the world. Many of Redeemer's members have long made a commitment of their time, treasure and talent to outreach and work in the world as an expression of our values and faith. The parish maintains a regular and continuing commitment to several mission programs:

Bristol Lodge & Sandra's Lodge (facilities providing assistance to homeless individuals and families suffering domestic violence in Waltham);

Lexington Food Pantry (operating out of the Church of Our Redeemer building). The Pancake Breakfast on Patriot's Day, 2010 raised $3400 for the Lexington Food Pantry.

We send work teams twice a year to join the Lawrence, Massachusetts, branch of Habitat for Humanity.

Esperanza Academy for Girls in Lawrence, MA.

The Grow Clinic at Boston Medical Center, serving infants suffering "failure to thrive."

Ministries of El Hogar, Honduras. Since 2006 over 60 parishioners have joined the boys and staff of El Hogar's schools. The 2010 trip is scheduled for mid-July, to work at the Agricultural school in Talanga.

Lexington Interfaith Garden.
